Support Teacher

As a Support Teacher at Primrose School of North Naples, you will help young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.

Primrose School of North Naples is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational childcare experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infants through elementary school age.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School of North Naples and comply with local, state, or national regulatory agencies regarding health, safety, and care of children.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules according to the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions confidently.
• Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while setting clear and consistent behavioral expectations.
• Handle maintenance and housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance following the guidelines in the employee handbook.
• Assist in other duties as determined by the Director or designee.

Desired

Skills and Experience:

• Meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety, program facilitation, and emergency situations. For Infant and Toddler teachers, ability to lift infants into and out of cribs.
