Jacobs is growing our hydrogeology team to support our client’s needs for hydrogeologic characterization, wellfield services, water resource sustainability and resiliency, and water resources planning, and permitting. We’re looking for a highly motivated emerging Hydrogeologist to work with our Southeast Groundwater and Surface Water Team on various projects for utilities, local, state, federal, and private‑sector clients.

You’ll work with professional geologists and professional engineers as you gain the experience necessary to attain your professional designation.
Responsibilities include performing, analyzing, and interpreting well and aquifer performance tests (e.g., variable‑rate and constant‑rate pumping tests), lithologic sampling and description, groundwater sampling, drilling data collection and analysis, and hydrogeologic characterization. Work will be balanced with time spent in the field, office, and/or working remotely (i.e. from home with a flexible hybrid schedule) on data evaluation and interpretation, analytical analyses, report writing, and coordinating logistics for project activities.
Safety will be your priority, as you contribute to “incident free” operations and maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety in everything you do.
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related field
- Understanding of lithologic classification
- Understanding of groundwater sampling
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
