On‑site Baton Rouge, LA (open to candidates located anywhere in the United States; preferred proximity to a Jacobs U.S. office).

• Designing Wireless systems in iBwave and EDX
• Coordination with BIM designers to create drawing packages
• Coordination with AHJ’s, Radio System Owners, and the Carriers
• Creating or modifying DIV 27 specifications
• Conducting site visits and reviewing technical documents
• Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years’ experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems, including LMR 2‑way radio (outdoor LMR, Site Radio, RoIP), Public Safety DAS, Commercial DAS, and other data center systems
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or equivalent modeling programs
• Experience working with clients to identify wireless communications needs
• Experience troubleshooting wireless communication system issues from field teams
• Knowledge of Noise Floor, SNIR, Return Loss, and VSWR
• Experience optimizing networks during design and installation
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, NFPA 1225, IFC section 510, Carrier KPIs, IBC, FCC Part 20, FCC Part 90, FCC OET Bulletin 65, and MOTOTRBO systems
• Knowledge of Motorola R56 installation standards and DMR Tier III
• Familiarity with Navisworks and responding to RFPs
• Project management skills: creating and maintaining budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans
• iBwave Level 2 Certification (required)

• Experience designing Wi‑Fi systems
• EDX or Motorola design certifications
• FCC GROL certification
• NICET Design Certification
• Multiple OEM product certifications
• Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering degree
• EIT or PE certification
