Automation Technician

Description

This position is for a technician experienced in the automation process. Duties include industrial electrical panel fabrication and build. Component layout of electrical enclosures. Electrical assemblies’ controls and wiring. Diagnose PLC programs and modifications to programs. Testing and troubleshooting electrical equipment. Retro fitting motors, drives and components. Works on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Design and build electrical enclosures 30%
• Automation process 45%

The below requirements indicate knowledge, skill and/or ability to satisfactorily perform essential duties.

• Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and statistics.
• Electrical – Understanding electrical principles and wiring of equipment AC and DC.
• Engineering and Technology – Knowledge of engineering science and technology. § PLC Programming is a must.

Rockwell Studio 5000, RS Logix 500, RS Linx, Automation Direct (Productivity Suite/Click/C-More HMI), Delta Program, Maple Systems – Easy Builder ProHMI, Solid Works, Keyence LS-Navigator 2 and/or Zumbach Controls.
