Principal Accountabilities:

  • Business Development - Creates and seizes business development opportunities to further the mission of the Company and has increasing impact in the lives of both current and potential future clients.
    • Demonstrates a growing ability to create and seize business development opportunities while enhancing the company’s professional presence and image within their community.
    • Consistently seeks opportunities to obtain influence and develop persuasive skills by networking through various organizations.
    • Understands the Blue Trust target market and identifies potential referral sources.
    • Uses available company resources to enhance visibility and understanding of the Blue Trust distinctives in the marketplace.
    • Develops the ability to perceive client needs and converse confidently about how Blue Trust can assist them.
    • Works to acquire leadership skills focusing on client service and business development.
  • Client Service - Serves clients with excellence providing financial guidance based on financial planning philosophy and biblical principles.
    • Strives to build organizational capacity and maintain a commitment to results.
    • Empathetically listens and applies biblical principles in financial investment and planning strategies.
    • Increases knowledge of biblical financial principles to integrate into client conversations.
    • Manages an affluent client base by delivering new financial plans and ongoing support.
    • Adapts communication style to ensure productive interaction with clients.
    • Diagnoses client needs to develop and implement excellent financial solutions.
    • Works with (Sr.) Financial Planner to initiate client meetings and respond to inquiries.
  • Team Leadership - Values people and applies the principles of the Company’s Management Language to lead their team respectfully.
    • Participates in a healthy, productive work culture.
    • Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to company guidelines.

    Requirements:

    • Successful completion of Company’s Advisor Test.
    • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the Bible, particularly regarding finances.
    • Ability to simplify complex financial issues.
    • Desire to serve clients and co-workers with excellence.
    • Aptitude for learning and strong work ethic.
    • Proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proactive planning and responsiveness to urgent needs.
    • Capability to excel in a team environment.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong organization skills and systems acumen.
    • Strong business mathematical skills and attention to detail.
    • Personal integrity and ability to handle confidential data discreetly.
    • Adept at prioritization with the ability to complete multiple tasks.
    • Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Comfortable working in a flexible professional environment.

    Education, Experience & Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field preferred.
    • 2-5 years prior experience as a Financial Planner and/or Financial Advisor.

    Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:

    • Certified Financial Planner designation, CPA, or CFA preferred.
    • Must obtain an industry recognized designation within 3 years of assuming the position.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Frequent travel by car, air, or other means, including overnight travel, to serve clients.
