Job Description

• The Patient Services Representative I serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a professional, safe, and supportive experience.
• This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy, confidentiality, and patient care.
• The PSR I helps create an atmosphere of trust while demonstrating strong communication, professionalism, and technical skill.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Provide a positive and professional experience for patients, clients, and staff.
• Uphold organizational commitment and promote a positive image.

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in certain states as applicable).

• Minimum 6 months experience required.
• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
