PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a 13-week contract position.

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant, you will embrace the core values of Select Medical by delivering superior quality care. You will work collaboratively with a team to ensure patient and employee safety while providing therapeutic interventions for various patient needs.

• Implement treatment goals and plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assisting in therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance exercises, and pain relief techniques.
• Train patients in locomotion using assistive devices and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Utilize various modalities for treatment and monitor patient responses.
• Document patient progress and engage family in education and participation.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Comply with all clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Participate in special projects to enhance patient care quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean treatment area and manage equipment safely.

• Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an Accredited School.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 1+ Year of Outpatient Clinical Experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license for the state where work will be performed.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is highly desired.
