About

The Role

As the Pool & Beach Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the resort pool/beach and recreational facilities as well as the operation of the Restaurant. This includes ensuring safety standards are met, overseeing staff, maintaining pool equipment, managing schedules, and developing engaging recreational activities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a passion for customer service and recreational management.

You Will Do
  • Be part of the pre‑opening team!
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the pool, beach and recreational areas, and related facilities.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all pool/beach and recreation users.
  • Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high levels of productivity and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including water quality standards, safety equipment, and emergency protocols.
  • Manage pool scheduling for private events, group lessons, recreational programs, etc.
  • Plan, organize, and lead recreational programs, events, and activities for guests and groups.
  • Monitor and manage budgets for pool and recreation operations, including staffing and supplies.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and control costs to maximize profitability.
  • Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Supervise and support front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Support the creation and quality assurance of daily service sequences through adherence to daily check lists and hands‑on coaching.
  • Actively support the development of team members through training, mentorship, and leadership.
  • Handles all resident interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism – accommodates special requests whenever possible; resolves resident complaints; assists residents in all inquiries. Responds to all resident requests in an accurate and timely manner, making recommendations based on local knowledge and residence protocol.
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Pool Manager, Recreation Manager, or similar role in a recreational or hospitality environment. Experience in a luxury resort setting or a similar high‑end environment is considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant industry.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and safety protocols.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
