About

the Role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will assist the Assistant Director of Housekeeping to lead staff and control the activities of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring our Guest Rooms, Public Areas and Employee Areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness. The ideal candidate excels at anticipating guest needs, delivering personalized service, and maintaining the highest standards in alignment with brand policies and service philosophy.

you will do
  • Be a part of the opening team!
  • Assist in leading staff and operations in related departments to ensure consistency in guest service and adherence to operational standards.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, staff scheduling and implementing corrective action when necessary to maintain high service standards.
  • Ensure communications and follow‑up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.
  • Assign staff to complete the activities needed for the day.
  • Inspect all areas of responsibility daily to ensure standards are being met, staff are being supported, and guest needs are being met.
  • Act as the senior manager on duty in the absence of senior leadership, taking swift and appropriate action in emergency, safety or guest‑related situations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Participate in periodic Linen, Uniform and Supplies Inventories and recommend appropriate actions to the Manager.
  • Maintain all areas of the department including storage facilities and product inventory areas organized and well‑maintained.
  • Support effective operation of the Laundry/Valet Department by assisting the department when needed.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained.
What you bring
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel setting is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate and challenge a diverse team.
  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of hotel operating systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good communication skills, as direct contact with guests is required.
  • Ability to lift or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods, up to 8 hours a day.
  • Fluency in English is required;
    Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Current work authorization in the United States is required.
