We are actively searching for an Associate Product Manager to support our Digital Innovation team. The candidate will work at our world headquarters in Naples, FL and contribute to helping surgeons treat their patients better™.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Participate in overall marketing, product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
- Work on technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production.
- Assist in the management of day-to-day progress and maintenance of products.
- Provide technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.
- Work with Product Team to develop marketing analysis to determine product definitions.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for product.
- Coordinate and develop marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for product line.
- Provide financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
- Work with Product Managers to establish development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
- Conduct market research and identify market trends in the company’s industry.
- Produce competitive analysis materials comparing product with key competitors.
- Identify partnering opportunities for complementary third‑party products to broaden the company’s product line.
- Participate in key sales situations for the product.
- Maintain communications to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule and sales information for product line.
- Identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, introduce market and distribution issues, and manage product through phase‑out.
- Work with Product Managers to define promotional activities and publicize the product through the press, sales force and alternate distribution channels.
- Provide expertise in particular product area and develop strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan.
- Plan, organize and coordinate assigned programs to ensure accomplishment of financial and budgetary goals and optimum allocation of resources.
- Manage resources to execute assigned programs.
- Coordinate details of program within the organization with a wide range of functions and individuals.
- Work with Product Managers to coordinate product introductions and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of the market segment.
- Provide continuing product surveillance and management of established product to obtain financial objectives.
- Support off‑site surgical cases and provide field team support.
- Travel will be required 25% of the time.
- In‑office, Naples FL‑based position; not remote.
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in business, marketing, engineering or clinical fields.
- 1 year of medical device sales and/or marketing and/or product management and/or engineering and/or clinical experience OR a Master’s degree required.
- Experience with medical imaging (endoscopy/arthroscopy) equipment preferred.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required.
- Knowledge of surgical orthopedics and/or arthroscopy.
- Skilled at working with different functions and effectively coordinating their activities to achieve desired results.
- Highly organized, dependable, detail‑oriented with excellent time management and communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customer concerns or objections, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with cadaver specimens and to speak in front of large groups.
