Product Manager, Shoulder Sports Medicine

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company that develops innovative orthopedic solutions. This position is based at our Naples, FL headquarters and supports the dynamic upper extremity product line focused on soft tissue fixation devices.

Main Objective

Plan, organize, and control an assigned product line from concept through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop new products in conjunction with Marketing, Engineering, and Sales Management.
  • Manage day‑to‑day progress of product development and coordinate overall product strategy, research and development, and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with multiple functional areas to provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to other departments.
  • Conduct marketing analysis, maintain prioritized customer and market requirements, and coordinate marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans.
  • Prepare product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
  • Conduct market research, track industry trends, produce competitive analysis materials, and identify partnering opportunities.
  • Participate in key sales situations and maintain communications with customers and internal teams.
  • Manage product lifecycle, including pricing, market strategies, sales forecasting, distribution, channel issues, and phase‑out decisions.
  • Provide expertise in particular product area and develop strategies for company business plan.
  • Direct and coordinate project team activities (engineering, manufacturing, procurement, marketing, and quality) to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Monitor financial activities to ensure compliance with budget parameters.
  • Evaluate product performance and manage product surveillance to meet financial objectives.
  • Provide technical assistance for complex customer issues and streamline internal management processes.
  • Maintain communication with customers to control project scope and ensure design, budget, quality, and schedule agreements are met.
  • Prepare technical and financial reviews and present information to senior management.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in business, engineering, or clinical fields.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in medical device development, product management, engineering, sales, marketing, or clinical roles.
  • Two years as an Arthrex Associate Product Manager or sales representative at an Arthrex Agency required.
  • Orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Understanding of all functions involved in development, production, and marketing of products preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Knowledge of surgical orthopedics and/or arthroscopy.
  • Ability to coordinate activities across functions to achieve desired results.
  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with orthopedic hand and power tools, surgical hand instrumentation.
