JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator Social Media Community is responsible for posting and responding to all NCH social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, and others), while also fostering a vibrant and responsive online community. This role works closely with the Brand Manager to implement the Social Media Strategy to support brand awareness, service line promotion, recruitment marketing, and real-time community outreach.

Responsibilities
  • Support in executing the strategic content calendar for all NCH social media platforms.
  • Edit and publish engaging posts, captions, and stories that reflect the NCH brand voice.
  • Monitor social channels daily — responding to comments, messages, and community feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with departments and clinical teams to identify and share stories about patient care, staff highlights, events, and community partnerships.
  • Work with graphic designers and videographers to create visuals and videos that enhance posts.
  • Support campaign launches, public health initiatives, and organizational announcements across social platforms.
  • Track key metrics (engagement, reach, growth, sentiment) and share regular performance reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Stay current on social media trends, healthcare digital marketing, and platform changes to keep NCH content fresh and relevant.
  • Ensure all content aligns with HIPAA compliance, brand standards, and accessibility best practices.
  • Support online reputation management by monitoring and coordinating responses to online reviews and feedback.
  • Follow and engage local brands to increase engagement and brand awareness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing social media accounts for an organization, brand, or agency.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone across platforms.
  • Experience in healthcare marketing or public health communications.
  • Familiarity with paid social strategy and advertising tools (e.g., Meta Ads Manager).
  • Understanding of SEO, keyword strategy, and how social integrates with broader digital content plans.
  • Familiarity with using AI tools for content ideation (e.g., Canva Magic Write, ChatGPT).
  • Working knowledge of major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, You Tube, X) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer).
  • Basic understanding of content performance analytics and ability to make data-informed recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with an ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable engaging with diverse audiences in a professional, empathetic, and brand-aligned manner.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a preferred.
