We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Nursing Supervisor. Candidates must have nursing and supervisory experience and a desire to join a great team dedicated to providing outstanding and superior hospitality. We currently have the following shift available:
Full-time, 12 hour shifts, every 3rd weekend.
The Nursing Supervisor at The Glenview at Pelican Bay is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in the Health Center.
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the following services including but not limited to:
- Supervises direct nursing care in the Health Center.
- Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated.
- Makes routine rounds to assure proper care of a safe, clean resident environment.
- Assures accuracy and completeness of medical records.
- Coordinates, conducts, and documents the MDS, resident care plans and conference in the absence of the MDS nurse (if certified)
- Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Assists with orientation of nursing personnel.
- Participates in family/resident counseling.
- Responds to emergency calls as necessary.
- Functions in the capacity as supervisor during working shift. Communicates with DON.
- Some “on call” may be required.
Skills/
Qualifications:
Florida State Licensed Registered Nurse License and CPR Certification. Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing. Supervisory experience preferred. MDS Experience preferred. Must pass an extensive criminal check and drug screen.
