We're hiring a Maintenance Worker for Stonecreek.

Ideal candidates have a passion for gardening and nurturing our grounds. As a Grounds Keeper you will be responsible for maintaining the turf area, ornamental trees, shrubs, bedding plants, and flowers. Beginner Grounds Keepers are welcome – while knowledge of grounds maintenance is preferred, previous experience is not required for the position.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work, as needed.

Pay Range:

$ depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares soil for planting beds and lawn areas
• Operates mechanical equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles
• Plants trees, shrubs, turf grass and flowers
• Prunes and trims trees and shrubs
• Maintains a clean landscape environment through trash removal and debris cleanup
• Maintains landscape through application of mulch, water, fertilizer and grooming
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as required

Education and Experience Requirements

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)

Working Conditions

• Frequently uses hands
• Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls
• Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; to push or pull up to 100 pounds
• Regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, compact spaces, hot attic temperatures, and outside weather conditions
• Noise level is moderate
