Veterinary Assistant

At Cat Care Clinic of Naples, cats aren’t part of what we do. They’re all we do. Since 1997, we’ve been Southwest Florida’s only cat-exclusive veterinary hospital, on a mission to become the region’s premier destination for feline medicine. We’re seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our tight-knit team and help us build something better than ordinary.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be at the center of that mission, supporting our doctors and technicians and helping deliver the gold-standard, Fear Free care our clients and their cats count on. We work exclusively with cats, and our team is deeply passionate about them.

This is feline care without the chaos. You’ll work exclusively with cats on a schedule that respects your time. Here’s what sets the role apart:

• Feline-only medicine, working exclusively with cats
• No emergency, no on-call, and no weekends

You’ll keep our patients comfortable and our clinic running smoothly, right alongside our doctors and technicians:

• Restrain and handle feline patients using Fear Free and Cat Friendly Practice techniques
• Assist our doctors and technicians during exams, dentals, and surgical procedures
• Prepare patients and rooms for appointments, procedures, and diagnostics
• Perform blood draws, obtain samples, and assist with lab work
• Take and position radiographs
• Run tech-only appointments, including Solensia injections, nail trims, SubQ fluids, and chronic care visits
• Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
• Support the technician and doctor teams to keep patient flow moving smoothly

You’re an experienced, dependable assistant who loves cats and takes pride in doing things well. You bring:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
• A genuine love for cats and an appreciation for their unique needs and personalities
• Fear Free familiarity, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days
• Confidence with restraint, blood draws, radiographs, and clinical assisting
• A calm, dependable, and detail-oriented approach
• Excellent communication with clients, with the team, and in medical records
• A team-player mindset and pride in being part of something better than ordinary

• $19 to $23 per hour, based on experience
