About the RoleThis position is dedicated to providing exceptional quality service to our guests. The main responsibility is to serve guests’ needs by providing expert knowledge of food menu items, wine, spirits, mixed drinks, and information regarding preparation methods. The ideal candidate will provide excellent food and beverage service in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.
WhatYou Will Do
- Create a wonderful dining experience by connecting with guests and maintaining an exceptional knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and mixed drinks.
- Communicate guest orders, including any special needs or requests, to the kitchen using the hotel’s point‑of‑sale system; check completed orders against the guest’s original order; anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions.
- Deliver and clear guest food and assist with any guest needs throughout service in a timely manner.
- Accurately close guest checks and process cash and credit card payments.
- Provide quick and efficient service while following state and city alcohol laws and adhering to Four Seasons standards of service and sequence of service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, restaurant standards, and daily side work.
- Be present and ensure that professional, courteous, and efficient guest service is offered, greeting each guest promptly and courteously with eye contact and a smile.
- 2+ years of serving experience, preferably within a luxury hotel and/or high‑end restaurant environment.
- Working knowledge of Micros POS system is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and personal presentation skills are required.
- Guest‑focused mentality and understanding the importance of guest preferences.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Confident, outgoing personality and a can‑do approach to any request.
- Continuous standing for 8+ hours a day and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Fluency in English is required and current work authorization in the United States is required.
