Job Description:

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Gelato Counter Attendant to join our team! As a Gelato Counter Attendant, you will be the face of our shop, providing exceptional customer service while serving delicious gelato and other frozen treats. Your main responsibilities will include assisting customers, maintaining cleanliness and organization at the counter, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more.

• Greet and engage customers with a smile, providing them with a warm and welcoming experience.
• Assist customers in selecting from a variety of gelato flavors and toppings, providing recommendations and answering questions.
• Scoop and serve gelato, ensuring portion control and presentation standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gelato counter, display cases, and surrounding areas.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register or point-of-sale system.
• Handle cash and credit transactions responsibly and adhere to company cash handling policies.
• Restock gelato, toppings, and supplies as needed, ensuring that the counter is fully stocked and visually appealing.
• Assist in cleaning tasks during and after shifts, cleaning equipment, and sweeping floors.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions, offering feedback and suggestions for improving operations.
• Promote shop products and specials to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.

• Previous experience in food service, customer service, or a similar role is a plus, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn about gelato flavors and products to provide informed recommendations to customers.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
