Position: Salesperson/Store Driver  Store 6398

Salesperson

Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving our sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge, and basic parts knowledge. It also involves sourcing from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers, and has in‑depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. The position can be part time or full time, and fleet safety certification is preferred.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
  • Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales objectives.
  • Provide DIY services, including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
  • Maintain store product and operational standards.
  • Manage inventory processes such as truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • General stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stock.
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation ability.

  • Friendly communication and strong customer relationships.

  • Use basic math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Prior Experience that Sets a Salesperson up for Success
  • 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Store Driver

Entry level store position capable of supporting delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with task and inventory processes, and may be part time or full time. A fleet safety certification is required.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
  • Pick up returns and cores.
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
  • Daily collection of credit accounts.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • General stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stock.
Success Factors

Prior Experience that Sets a Driver Up for Success
  • Automotive parts experience preferred.
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations.
  • Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification.
Physical Demands

Employees will predominantly walk or stand, communicate, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities require close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

The environment is usually indoor, occasionally outdoor, with exposure to various weather conditions, mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration. Noise level is moderate.
