• Create and maintain visually appealing floral displays that are well-stocked, signed, fresh, and organized.
• Follow proper flower handling and safety practices, including care for delicate or specialty florals.
• Accurately price floral merchandise and rotate product according to store quality standards.
• Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable customer service, including assisting with floral selection, wrapping, and arrangements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the floral department to meet sanitation and quality expectations.
• Safely use tools and equipment required for floral preparation, following all safety guidelines.

• Basic knowledge of plant and flower care, including the ability to differentiate between various types of flowers, plants, and related merchandise, and understand their indoor and outdoor care needs.
• Strong teamwork, organization, time management, and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Non-slip shoes are required for safety while working in the department.

• Standing & Walking: Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Lifting & Handling: Ability to regularly lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot, humid, and cold environments, and tolerate moderate exposure to dust and cleaning agents.
• Allergies: Must be able to work with a wide variety of fresh floral products without adverse allergic reactions.
• Mobility & Flexibility: Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and move as required throughout the shift.
• Equipment Use: Ability to safely use a step stool or ladder when necessary.
• Balance & Coordination: Ability to maintain balance and stability while performing job duties.
• Manual Dexterity: Ability to perform tasks requiring both gross and fine motor skills.
