** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of restricted or controlled areas.

+ Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.

+ X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

+ Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
