Pay Range: $22/hr - $27/hr.
Pay is based on numerous factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to lift, move, and stack materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and other vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Transport goods and materials to designated areas within the warehouse, distribution center, or other site locations.
- Stack and arrange materials in an organized manner to maximize storage space and ensure easy access.
- Perform pre‑shift and post‑shift inspections of the forklift, documenting any issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved, inventory, and equipment operation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, and other team members to coordinate material movement and ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including those related to forklift operation, load handling, and workplace safety.
- Operate forklift in various weather conditions, including potentially hazardous conditions associated with hurricane aftermath.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as manual loading/unloading, and site cleanup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must possess Forklift Operator certification.
- Must possess prior Forklift Operator experience.
- Be prepared to deploy to disaster‑affected areas, often with short notice.
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical RequirementsEmployees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach; may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
