CDL Truck Driver – Residential Automatic Side Load

Pay Range: $23.25/hr + DOE

Shift: Monday‑Saturday, one weekday off, 5:30 am start time

Job Summary

Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes.

• Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements, maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using standard DVIR; note all issues on DVIR form.
• Immediately report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Operations Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.
• Participate and cooperate in all scheduled training, briefings and meetings as required.
• Work closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problems or unsafe conditions.
• Perform all duties as scheduled by the Operations Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
• Notify Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Notify Dispatch or Operations Manager of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol, including blocked containers, potential missed pick‑ups or problems that arise on the route.
• Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager.
• Completely dump all containers and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
• Complete and submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed.
• Position containers on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, containers are set upright and do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
• Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation when checking in at the end of the route.

• Education and Experience
  - None required.
  - No prior work experience required.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  - Commercial Driver’s License B (CDL).
  - Must be at least 18 years of age.
  - Successfully complete pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, including motor vehicle record review.
  - Acceptable driving record required.
