A MRI Technologist is responsible for performance of all magnetic resonance imaging procedures. The MRI technologist is responsible for providing a physically safe environment for all patients and staff entering the magnetic zones.
QualificationsA BLS certification is required. Additionally, a minimum of two years post‑secondary education and graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) is required. It is also required that the MRI Technologist is registered through American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). It is preferred that one has previous experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital setting. It is also preferred that a MRI technologist has advanced credentials from the ARRT in Magnetic Resonance.
