JAC Products invites applications for a Human Resources Manager to lead the plant Human Resources department in Napoleon, Ohio. The role focuses on employee relations, training, development, recruitment, and safety.
Responsibilities- Partner with the plant leadership team to execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, addressing current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including job description review, requisition and posting creation, and recruitment resource allocation for managerial, exempt, and professional roles. Collaborate with departmental managers to identify required skills and competencies.
- Monitor key HR metrics, develop action plans to address unfavorable indicators, and report progress during management review meetings.
- Plan and coordinate contract labor services: maintain target percentages of temporary staff, manage staffing for turnover and absenteeism, enforce labor standards, and initiate temporary conversions as needed.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Accurately maintain employee records within the HRIS system and personnel files.
- Create employee communications regarding policies, benefits, operational announcements, training opportunities, job openings, plant activities, and employee relations, and provide updates to functional managers and plant leadership.
- Foster and maintain a team-oriented work environment that respects individual differences and promotes growth.
- Read and interpret safety rules, policies, procedure manuals, and operating instructions.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
- Experience with ATS (Jobvite preferred).
- Knowledge of HRIS functionality – Ceridian experience preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or SHRM-CP preferred.
- 3–5 years in human resource management, preferably within an automotive manufacturing facility.
