REPORTS TO: Director of CTE
COORDINATES WITH: Director of CTE, Building Principal, Assistant Principals, Department Head, Office Manager, NH Department of Education
SCHOOL YEAR: School Year
SALARY: $44,200 - $93,938
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and a commitment to preparing students for careers in the skilled trades. This position plays a key role in equipping students with the technical, academic, and employability skills needed for success inpost-secondary education and the workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid NH CTE or teaching certification in Electrical Trades or the ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of [3-5] years of professional experience in the electrical field.
- Journeyman or master electrician license a plus. Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Experience in education or training is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student achievement, equity, and hands-on learning.
- ESOL Certification preferred
- Design and deliver an engaging curriculum aligned with industry standards and state CTE frameworks.
- Provide hands-on instruction in electrical theory, wiring, circuit design, safety protocols, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Maintain a safe and organized lab/shop environment.
- Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications such as NCCER or OSHA 10/30.
- Collaborate with local industry partners to provide internship, job shadowing, and career exploration opportunities.
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed and differentiate instruction for students with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and program completion.
- Attend professional development and staff meetings as required.
