The Small Form Factor Solutions (SFFS) Product Line in the Electronic Combat Systems (ECS) Business Area is looking for a motivated Contracts Professional to support multiple classified programs. The successful candidate should have experience with production and development programs, direct USG and commercial contracts, proposals including Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), program pursuits, as well as a strong business acumen of strategic customer relationship interfacing, planning and financial compliance.

This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, legal and customer requirements with limited guidance or supervision of the Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will need to interpret and communicate business commitments and alternatives to the Program Team and Product Line Leadership team, the Contracts Management organization, and Executive Leadership. This position requires knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition and execution environment, applicable laws and regulations and the ability to develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate specialized knowledge in an area of contracting such as, but not limited to government contacting, contract types, commercial contracting, proposal compliance and intellectual property.

* Maintain an in-depth knowledge and working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment, the BAE Systems Contracts function and relevant company policies and procedures, commercial contracting methods, FAR/DFARS, export and other government regulations.

* Lead proposal teams. Provide analysis of solicitations, assure that bid/proposals are prepared and presented in a manner so as to afford the Company the greatest opportunity to obtain the contract award while minimizing associated liabilities and risk, support independent proposal reviews.
