We are seeking talented, experienced Senior Principal Level Software engineers to help us create the world's most advanced solutions in the area such as Electronic Warfare, Secure Communications and Networking, Radar Warning and Electronic Attack for our defense related customers. Our products provide critical mission capabilities to address the ever-evolving challenges and threats to our nation's security and the war fighter.

You will be an integrated team member, with leadership opportunities, collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration and Testing. You will prepare design and project documentation intended to be used within complex programs or across sets of programs in accordance with established processes. We will provide you opportunities to learn, leverage our current technologies, incorporate new technologies, and be a leader in our engineering organization.

Job Responsibilities
* Provide supervision, mentoring, career development, and performance management for a team of 7-15 software engineers.

* Conduct one-on-one and section level meetings.

* Provide a safe, inclusive culture.

* Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new team members to meet business needs.

* Use your technical skills and experience to ensure the design, implementation, and sustainment of our software solutions meet and exceed customer expectations.

* Support program execution through cost and schedule management, Earned Value Management, and metrics tracking.

* Contribute to bid and proposal efforts.

* Collaborate with other functional managers and discipline leads to ensure program success. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

* Secret Security Clearance (active within the past two years)

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field

* 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities in either a functional and/or technical role.

* Ability to lead a medium to large group with diverse cultures and individual differences

* Demonstrated ability to guide individuals through complicated or difficult situations effectively and professionally
