Responsibilities- Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary team in the development of next generation high speed backplane interconnect products
- Design, simulate, characterize, and apply high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnect
- Assist with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high-speed data transmission requirements
- Support the internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise
- Identify and resolve signal integrity issues in PCB layout, and directing layout
- Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital design
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Hands‑on experience with frequency‑domain and time‑domain component and circuit characterization, including understanding of test and calibration methods
- Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment
- Understanding of electro‑magnetic principles
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- 2+ years of industry experience
- Experience in component design and application of high-speed interconnects into communications systems
- Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as ANSYS HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave Studio, HSPICE, MATLAB, and ADS
