We design and manufacture a wide range of innovative connectors and cable assemblies for diverse applications including server, storage, data center, mobile, RF, networking, industrial, business equipment, and automotive.
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Thermal to join our team in Nashua.
Responsibilities- Perform thermal simulations and analyses (steady-state and transient) using tools such as ANSYS Icepak, FloTHERM.
- Design and optimize thermal solutions including heat sinks, fans, liquid cooling systems, and interface materials (PCM) for high speed I/O active cables and optical transceivers and fiber optic cables.
- Conduct thermal characterization and validation tests, including temperature measurement, and correlation with simulation results.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to integrate thermal solutions into overall product design.
- Define thermal requirements and design constraints for new products and ensure compliance with reliability and performance specifications.
- Develop and document thermal models, test reports, and design guidelines for future designs.
- Participate in design reviews, providing recommendations for improved thermal performance and manufacturability.
- Support failure analysis and root cause investigations of thermal-related field or qualification issues.
- M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years applicable experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and thermal principles, and material properties.
- Proficiency with thermal simulation tools like FLOTHERM, ANSYS Icepack.
- Knowledge of electronics packaging and reliability requirements (JEDEC, IPC, standards) preferred.
- Experience in Electronics / Data Center / Telecom:
Familiarity with high-power ICs, PCBs, heat spreaders, and airflow management is an added advantage.
