Job Summary

The Cage Cashier executes guest monetary transactions in an assigned window bank. The Cage Cashier consistently maintains an accurate balance count of company assets while providing exceptional guest service, committing to our culture and actively supporting all BIG Service initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Communicate operational information and updates to keep all Cage management informed.
  • Maintain accurate handling of guest and company funds by processing all transactions and documentation in accordance with regulations, company, and department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain bank balance and safeguard cage assets.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and advise on current property promotions and events.
  • Assist Cage management by conducting transaction verifications to avoid discrepancies and ensure procedural compliance.
  • Address machine, equipment, or software malfunctions and report any discrepancies to the Cage Manager and/or Director of Cash Operations immediately; may conduct minor repairs under supervision.
  • Report any issues, concerns, or needs for assistance to Cage management immediately.
  • Provide training to other Team Members as requested by Cage management.
  • Alert Cage management of any infractions of company or department policies and/or procedures immediately.
  • Provide BIG Service to internal guests, ensuring their complete satisfaction by greeting and interacting pleasantly, anticipating and meeting guest needs, remaining calm and professional when dealing with difficult or upset guests.
  • Develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
  • Ensure work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
  • Work safely by following company safety policies and procedures, acting safely, caring for safety of self and others, responding appropriately in emergencies, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shifts and staff meetings.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the workday.
  • Maintain appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.
  • Inform the manager on duty of any irregularities or unusual situations when they occur.
  • Keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high‑stress, fast‑paced environments.
  • Conduct all interactions with honesty and integrity.
  • Work independently with little supervision or as part of a team.
  • Comply with all legal or company regulations for the industry.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree required.
  • 1–3 years related experience required.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Pass all required pre‑screening and background checks.
  • Internal candidates must have been in their current position for at least six months and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day, swing, late‑night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license.
Physical & Mental Demands
  • Move in and around the work area throughout the entire workday.
  • Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Engage and interact appropriately with all guests and work well under pressure.
  • Communicate regularly with all co‑workers, vendors, and guests, both in person and over the telephone.
  • Answer all inquiries and provide assistance and information professionally and accurately.
  • Access and interpret information on computer screens.
  • Work in an environment where smoking is permitted and ambient noise is present.
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds and respond to visual and audio cues.
  • Distinguish letters or symbols and demonstrate eye‑hand coordination.
