This Data/AI Platform Architect will serve as the data architect and the individual responsible for the creation, maintenance, improvement, oversight and governance of a consolidated enterprise-wide data repository. This position provides technical assistance to all areas of the business. The position uses a robust knowledge of the Business Intelligence systems and processes and can serve as a strategic interface between Operations and IT.

The position also serves as thought leader for technical data solutions and processes, developing prototypes that introduce new BI tools that are AI driven.

• Develop and implement AI/ML features within Power BI (e.g., Azure AI visuals, AutoML integration, DAX AI functions, Key Influencers, Decomposition Tree, Smart Narrative, Anomaly Detection, custom visuals using R/Python).
• Integrate Power BI with Azure AI services (Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, etc.) to embed predictive analytics, forecasting, natural language query (Q&A), and generative AI capabilities.
• Perform data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), DAX calculations, and performance optimization of large datasets in Power BI.
• Work closely with cross-functional IT teams (Applications, Infrastructure, Client Services, Service Desk) to maintain highly available BI environments (Databricks, Power
  
  BI) that support 24x7x365 manufacturing.
• Use ITSM tool (Fresh service) for break/fix support and service request management.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field or commensurate experience.
• 3–6+ years of hands‑on experience as a BI Analyst/Data/Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI.
• 3+ years of prior experience and understanding of modern BI principles such as Data democratization, Self‑service analytics and Advanced analytics (Predictive and AI‑powered insights).
• Strong DAX and M (Power Query) skills with proven experience building complex data models.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into Power BI (Azure ML models, AI visuals, R/Python scripting, Azure OpenAI integration, Copilot in Fabric/Power BI).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and ETL processes.

Preferred:

• ITIL Certification
• Microsoft Certified:
  Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) and/or Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate.
• Experience with generative AI prompts and integrating Azure OpenAI/Copilot into reporting workflows.
• Experience with Azure cloud services (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Machine Learning) is highly desirable.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills with an ability to form strong relationships with partners across multiple locations.
• Ability to effectively manage through competing priorities and interruptions.
