Position: Pashto Interpreter/Translator
Location: District Wide
Work Year: School Year - 180 days
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $25 per hour
Qualifications:
- Applicants should hold an Associate’s degree and be fluent in Pashto.
- Completed or currently enrolled in one of the interpreter training courses below or equivalent:
- Southern NH Area Health Education Center
- Language Bank Training
- Massachusetts Medical Interpreter Training
- Northshore Community College
- UNH Medical Interpreter (Spanish/English)
- Nashua Community College Medical Interpreter Training (Spanish/English)
Summary Responsibilities: The educational interpreter/translator facilitates communication among students and parents who speak languages other than English. The role includes interpreting and providing support services to students and parents needing assistance with English. Proficiency in written translation is required.
