Position: APS DISTRICT OFFICE SUPERVISOR

APS DISTRICT OFFICE SUPERVISOR – State of New Hampshire

Pay Range

$30.02/hr – $46.63/hr (eligible for Supervisor In‑Band Advancement)

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train Adult Protective Services staff to ensure high‑quality services and participate in program development.
  • Attend scheduled supervisory meetings to receive, disseminate information, and contribute to program improvement.
  • Review and recommend personnel actions for subordinate employees, including step increases, promotions, disciplinary action, performance evaluations, and leave approvals.
  • Screen, interview, and approve applicants for Adult Protective Services Worker (APSW) positions.
  • Assign work to subordinate APSW staff, coordinate workload distribution, and evaluate performance.
  • Interpret laws, rules, and policies for staff; provide education to community agencies, partners, and the public about APS roles and responsibilities.
  • Review and evaluate program objectives, workload data, and other reports; recommend changes to APS Administration.
  • Collect, analyze, and prepare data for APS Administration to assure programmatic and budget compliance.
  • Initiate interagency/community planning activities to develop protocols and services addressing the needs of vulnerable adults and elders; establish contacts with courts, law enforcement, and other agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience OR 7 years of education and experience after high school, with emphasis on social work, adult protective services, psychology, counseling, sociology, or human services.
  • At least one year of supervisory or management experience in any occupational area.
  • Valid driver’s license or access to transportation.
