The 2nd Man is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant's production printing equipment and for assuring complete customer satisfaction with the quality of the printed product including exact color match. The 2nd Man supports the Operator and helps to oversee the work of the Feeder. The 2nd Man will run the Press in the absence of the Pressman.
PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILIES:- Printing Press Operation high speed sheet fed printing press
- Supports the Printing Pressman in all aspects of the press operation
- Help to oversee the work of the Feeder
- Hangs plates on press
- Loads ink in press
- Performs frequent color match utilizing computerized equipment
- Is responsible for press speed and the efficient use of the press
- Performs frequent quality checks and approvals as per policy
- Inspects the finished product for quality prior to its moving on to Die Cutting
- Helps to keep the work area clean and orderly
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
