Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN - School Nurse

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care for a wheelchair-bound male student with complex medical needs. This is a contract position that requires a unique blend of medical expertise and patience.

• Provide direct, hands‑on nursing care to a middle school student throughout their school day.
• Assist with transferring the student from their wheelchair to the toilet using a Hoyer lift.
• Assist with bath rooming.
• Provide Trach G‑tube feedings with a feeding pump.
• Perform medication administration as delegated by the district nurse.
• Conduct routine health monitoring and vital signs.
• Work closely with the district nurse, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Accurately document all patient care activities, including assessments, and interventions.
• Respond calmly and effectively to medical emergencies and behavioral challenges.

Flexible

Hours:

Tuesday - Friday 12 PM to 4 PM;
Potentially 9 AM to 4 PM (Tuesday and Thursday)

• Valid LPN license in the state of Washington.
• Experience working with pediatric patients, particularly those with complex medical needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
