Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Colebrook, NH | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every 3rd weekend required (additional weekends possible based on need) | Holiday rotation with permanent staff

• Provide direct patient care in a small emergency department (7 beds, 1 trauma room) serving approximately 4,000 patients annually
• Function independently as the sole nurse on shift; collaborate with med/surg charge nurse support as needed
• Independently read and interpret EKG rhythms using Mindray monitors (no tech on nights)
• Perform lab draws when lab personnel are not available, and mix medications when new orders are placed after pharmacy hours
• Operate ventilators (Newport HT70) and perform respiratory treatments in the absence of respiratory therapy staff
• Float within the facility as needed and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and assignments

• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Ability to independently read and interpret EKG rhythms
• Strong IV insertion skills required (no IV team on site)

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification preferred
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Experience with T-System and/or CPSI EMR platforms
• Prior experience in a critical access or low-volume emergency department setting

• Team-oriented environment with a collaborative, supportive culture and EM physician coverage available 24/7
• Opportunity to practice broad clinical skills in a dynamic, autonomous emergency nursing role with preceptor orientation provided
