American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Rehab and Med/Surg Float position on day shift, requiring an active NH or compact RN license and at least 3 years of experience.

• Primary placement on the Rehab unit with floating to Med/Surg as needed
• Day shift schedule, 7a-7p
• 13-week assignment
• Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through the following Saturday 11:59pm

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred
• Basic Dysrhythmia course preferred or required prior to completion of orientation
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or required prior to completion of orientation

• Provides professional nursing care within assigned unit, carrying out provider orders and maintaining comprehensive clinical documentation each shift
• Communicates patient information through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding (AIDET)
• Participates in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborates with nursing staff across departments and may serve as a preceptor for new nurses
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of nurse-sensitive indicators such as CAUTI, CLABSI, CDIFF, HAPU, falls, hand hygiene, and VAE
• Completes all required net learning modules within specified time frames
• Completes dysrhythmia course prior to completion of orientation if assigned to telemetry-based departments
