Job SummaryThe Barista/Host/Cashier enhances the guest experience by providing premiere guest service in a timely and friendly manner. The Barista/Host/Cashier initiates conversations with guests, anticipates guests’ needs and seeks opportunities to build relationships and create memorable interactions.
Job Responsibilities- Greet customers upon arrival, guide them to available seating, and ensure a pleasant experience from entry to departure.
- Balance multiple tasks including preparing drinks, seating guests, and handling payments during busy periods, maintaining a calm and efficient workflow.
- Accurately take customer orders for food and beverages and provide recommendations when necessary to enhance the dining experience.
- Make coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to customer orders, ensuring high‑quality standards and consistency.
- Efficiently and accurately take and deliver beverage orders in a timely and friendly manner.
- Process customer payments accurately using cash, credit, or mobile payment systems, ensuring quick, efficient and accurate transactions.
- Balance cash drawer during shift, and maintain security and accuracy of bank.
- Proactively seek guest opportunities and anticipate guests’ needs to create “magical moments”.
- Interact with guests in a friendly manner while taking orders, to include up‑selling.
- Maintain assigned areas by keeping them clean and free of debris throughout the shift.
- Have working knowledge of all ingredients and how to prepare each drink.
- Ensure the service area is properly set up at the beginning of the shift and closed at the end of the shift in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shifts and staff meetings.
- Consistently use all bar and restaurant equipment, cleaning, and sanitizing products in accordance with all MSDS sheets and departmental standards.
- Provide BIG service to internal and external guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
- Develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
- Work safely by following company safety policies and procedures, completing work safely, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the workday.
- Assist with training/mentoring of new team members as requested.
- Maintain all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Inform the manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur.
- Keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high‑stress situations and a continuously fast‑paced environment.
- Act honestly in all interactions and display a high degree of integrity.
- Work independently with little to no supervision or as part of a team.
- Remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass all required pre‑screening and background checks.
- Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the transfer and promotion policy.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day, swing, late‑night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license.
- Must be able to move in and around the work area throughout the entire workday.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to repeat the same movements.
