Position: Armed Security Officer (1st shift)

Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for an 1st shift Armed Security Officer, based out of Nashua, New Hampshire. The shift schedule is 6:45am - 7:00pm rotating 3 days on 3 days off. Must be able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Your primary responsibilities include facility security and asset protection, observation and reporting, communication and training and emergency response.

  • Monitor access control, intrusion detection and surveillance systems and investigate unusual activity.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to the premises by engaging in Security Questioning or contacting local law enforcement.
  • Use non‑deadly force or firearms for self‑defense or defense of another person per policies and procedures.
  • Inspect all outgoing parcels and track the receipt of secure material shipped from the facility.
  • Perform interior and exterior visual patrols, reporting vulnerabilities, potential hazards, unusual findings, or ideas for improvements.
  • Comprehensive incident reporting of unusual activity and investigative outcome.
  • Enforce all safety and security policies and procedures and report violations to the Security Supervisor.
  • Provide basic medical care and facilitate access for Emergency Responders in the event of an emergency.
Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement or an associate degree or higher in criminal justice or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Armed Guard License in State of NH.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High energy with the ability to prioritize and multi‑task many activities at the same time.
  • Ability to display confidence and be adaptive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong conflict management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Position subject to mandatory overtime based on staffing requirements.
  • Position subject to travel to Crane facilities in support of Security requirements.
