Painter

Overview

We are currently seeking a Part Time Painter to join our team! The Painter prepares surfaces for painting and finishing; applies undercoats and finish coats using the full range of application methods and materials; mixes and matches paints and finishes. Join a team who has fun together and enjoys interacting with our caring residents.

Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains existing paint surfaces through matching and tinting of appropriate paint products.
• Performing all assigned duties including, but not limited to; trash pick-up, plumbing, heating & cooling systems, electrical and furniture moving.
• Working on off‑duty hours, if called, in an emergency situation including, but not limited to: snow storms; hurricanes; floods; fires; essential equipment failures or malfunction. A minimum of three (3) hours will be paid for any call‑in situation.
• Assisting on weekend coverage with other maintenance staff.
• Assume responsibility for self‑safety and that of the immediate environment.
• Reporting all problems to the Director of Plant Operation regularly and in emergencies.
• Being available for emergency on call on an alternating basis with other maintenance staff.
• Attending annual in‑service programs including, but not limited to, body mechanics, right‑to‑know information, and fire and safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Some mechanical and electrical knowledge and a working knowledge of the trades.
• Must be in good physical health and able to perform difficult tasks at times.
• Must have ability to read, speak, and write and follow simple oral instructions.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial painting experience.
