The Role

Moderna Services, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer for its Seattle, Washington location.

• Work within Moderna’s Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team to deliver secure, high-performing, cost-efficient, and operationally robust platforms that enable the development and deployment of transformative technologies.

• Contribute to multiple build and integration projects in a dynamic, fast-moving, agile environment.

• Work closely with product owners to understand business needs and design solutions.

• Develop innovative and intuitive full-stack web applications as part of a team to transform business, engineering processes and capabilities.

• Deploy and improve applications in a constantly evolving Cloud environment.

• Monitor and analyze application performance, resilience, and effectiveness.

• Contribute to creating managed services and control planes to drive automation and analytics.

• Build robust authentication and authorization mechanisms to validate user information and authorization tokens at every request and layer.

• Minimum requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer or related position.

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience with:

    • Programming languages including Java;

    • Backend Development using Node.js;

    • Dev Ops and CI/CD using AWS Code Pipeline;

    • Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes;

    • Managing and deploying applications on AWS;

    • SQL and No
      
      SQL database management;

    • Integrating authentication and authorization tools for cybersecurity; and

    • API development and integration.

• May telecommute up to 2 days per week.

• The salary range for this role is $121,600 to $194,500. This range reflects the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The minimum target pay for this particular position, based on its primary location, is $170,000 to $194,500. An individual’s placement within the range will depend on several factors, including but not limited to specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs.
  
  The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
