Position Summary:

The Farm Manager directs all live production and maintenance operations. Responsible for safety, animal husbandry, personnel, budget, cost control and operating efficiencies. Provides day‑to‑day farm oversight and long‑term production work.

• Direct live farm production efficiencies: expenses, budgets, facility & equipment maintenance, flock scheduling, vaccinations, feed conversion & scheduling, biosecurity and mortality.
• Lead animal welfare and employee safety programs. Manage training and implement safety changes.
• Oversee poultry husbandry, flock management, bird scheduling and movement. Ensure all production SOPs are executed.
• Manage all farm expenditures, operating budget and capital investments. Interact with vendors on service and supplies.
• Recruit, hire and develop all farm production employees. Work with HR to ensure hiring practices comply with policy and labor laws.
• Manage performance issues, training plans and compensation within labor budgets.
• Plan succession to maintain talent for key farm production positions.
• Conduct regular audits of production facilities and implement necessary actions.
• Coordinate disease identification and prevention sampling activities with veterinarian.
• Lead problem solving, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as directed by leadership.
• Support Braswell Foods environmental management systems (EMS) for lagoons and irrigation.

  Lift 40 lb., stand 6 h. Work standing 6 h a day.
• Language:
  Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

College degree in animal science or 5+ years in flock management. 5+ years experience in intake, care and moving of adolescent chickens. Supervisory experience with proven ability to train, motivate, coach, discipline and retain talent.

Valid driver’s license; meeting company driving record requirements.
