Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant will report to Tennessee Oncology’s Controller.  The position will be based in Nashville, TN and is responsible for multiple accounting functions. The candidate will have a proven record of leadership, technical expertise, and proven results.  This position is filling a key role with the company and accounting function, with primary focus on the execution of departmental goals and objectives.  

This role is a highly visible role and will regularly interact with members of the executive management team.

* Strong technical accounting knowledge (business combinations, revenue recognition, etc.)
* Ability to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and completion
* Display a detail-oriented approach to daily activities and a self-starter attitude
* Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and lead cross-functional initiatives
* Ability to effectively collaborate, works with a sense of urgency, and prioritizes tasks
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
* Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience w/ Big4 background (Preferred)
* Proven knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC regulations
* Knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics required
* Strong excel skills
* Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Preferred)
* Active CPA license required (Preferred)
