Orlando, FL; or Whippany, NJ. You will work with an integrated team of CPAs and industry leaders, taking a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements, from planning to completion, including supervision and mentoring of staff and building client relationships.
Withum’s Tax Services Group provides services in Business, Individual, State & Local tax, R&D Tax Credit, as well as International and Private Client services. The firm emphasizes teamwork, client service excellence, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Compensation varies by location and is complemented by a benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts depend on role, location, and qualifications. Refer to the Withum careers site for more information.

Responsibilities- Prepare complex multistate S corp. and partnership income tax returns
- Prepare high net worth individual returns
- Review mid-level multistate complexity S corp. and partnership income tax returns
- Review mid-level complexity individual returns
- Research and draft memorandum involving complex tax matters
- Identify tax planning opportunities
- Handle and resolve tax controversies
- Train and supervise staff accountants
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Licensed CPA, or working toward CPA certification with parts passed
- Masters of Science in Taxation is preferred but not required
- At least 4 years of public accounting experience
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain client relationships
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel as needed
