Senior Assurance Associate

Job Overview

Rezult is looking for an Assurance Senior to serve a public accounting client in Nashville, TN on a hybrid schedule. The role involves leading audit engagements, evaluating internal controls, and delivering GAAP‑compliant financial statements.

• Plan, execute, and supervise audit engagements in accordance with GAAS, PCAOB standards, SEC requirements, and firm methodology
• Evaluate, document, and test internal controls, including SOX 404 compliance, and identify opportunities to strengthen control environments and reduce risk
• Prepare, review, and communicate complex financial statements and disclosures in accordance with GAAP, including the application of new accounting pronouncements
• Identify, research, and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues in coordination with engagement leadership and clients
• Manage audit fieldwork by coordinating staff assignments, timelines, and budgets while ensuring quality and efficiency
• Supervise, review, and mentor audit staff, providing ongoing performance feedback and supporting professional development

• 2+ years of accounting experience from public accounting or a blend of public and industry
• CPA eligible (CPA preferred)
• Intermediate Excel skills—VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
• Power BI experience is a plus
