Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for managing invoice processing, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. * Responsibilities:

- Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Manage payments to multiple vendors, including subcontractors, material suppliers, and service providers.

- Handle sales and use tax calculations as part of invoice processing tasks.

- Maintain and update records in accounting software, including Epi Cor and Spectrum.

- Collaborate with the purchasing manager and accounting team to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.

- Ensure all invoices are entered and finalized by month-end deadlines.

- Review invoices for accuracy and completeness, addressing any issues promptly.

- Assist with printing checks and managing remote desktop systems as needed.

- Support the team during busy periods, especially Mondays when invoice volumes are higher.

- Follow a business casual dress code, with flexibility for jeans when appropriate.

Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles.

- Familiarity with construction or manufacturing software such as Epi Cor and Spectrum.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite applications.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to be both friendly and assertive.

- Ability to work on-site, with potential for hybrid remote work after 90 days.

- Preferred but not required: educational background in accounting or finance.

- Comfortable handling a variety of invoices, including subcontractor pay applications and utility bills.
