This is a chance to run the full accounting function at a growing IT staffing firm, with a direct line to the CEO and a real voice in how the business grows. You’ll own the close, the general ledger and the reporting leadership relies on to make decisions, and you’ll lead a small team that looks to you for answers. • Job Type: Full-time, direct hire with ITC | Expected Start Date Jan 2027
• Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $140,000 to $155,000 per year, plus bonus
• No Visa Sponsorship Available for this role. No C2C

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, including review of financial statements and adjusting entries
• Own the general ledger, journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations
• Oversee billing, payroll accounting, commissions, AP and AR, and resolve discrepancies across systems
• Supervise and mentor a two-person team handling invoicing, timesheets, expenses and collections, and step in on the work when needed
• Build annual budgets and rolling forecasts, and track actual results against them
• Deliver reporting and analysis on margin, cash flow and collections that leadership can act on
• Work with our outside CPA firm on corporate and multistate tax filings
• Find ways to use AI and better reporting to reduce manual work and improve accuracy

What Gets You the Job:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA is a plus, not a requirement)
• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience, including owning the month‑end close. Some experience supervising a small team preferred
• Background at a small, growing company where you owned the full accounting cycle. Candidates from large or enterprise finance teams are not a fit for this role
• Strong Quick Books Enterprise and advanced Excel skills. Bullhorn Back Office experience is a plus
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Experience working with outside CPAs on corporate tax; multistate experience is a plus
• Staffing industry experience strongly preferred. Other businesses with weekly payroll and hourly billing will also be considered
• Comfortable using AI in your daily work, with examples of how you’ve used it to speed up reporting or analysis
