As House Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient daily operations of the household with a focus on childcare. This full-time role demands proactive oversight of the home environment, coordination of routines and services, and nurturing care for young children. You will act with discretion and independence, minimizing the family's logistical load while maintaining a warm and organized household.
Responsibilities- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, including daily routines, meals, activities, and transportation
- Communicate proactively with parents regarding children's progress, needs, and schedules
- Travel with family when needed and coordinate backup childcare or au pair coverage
- Coordinate daily and weekly household schedules and appointments
- Manage laundry, ironing, and the general tidiness of common and children’s areas
- Handle grocery shopping, household supply restocking, and meal prep for children
- Maintain household inventory and ensure essential items are stocked
- Coordinate with service providers (utilities, handymen, etc.) to ensure tasks are completed on time
- Children receive safe, structured, and consistent care and transportation
- Household schedules, tasks, and service appointments are coordinated without disruption
- Parents receive timely updates regarding household and childcare matters
- House remains clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
- External vendors and services are coordinated effectively with minimal oversight from the parents
- The family’s time spent on domestic logistics is significantly reduced
- 1+ years of experience in household management, nannying, or family support roles
- Highly reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Warm, patient, and professional demeanor with children
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate family needs
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Comfortable coordinating household vendors and managing service timelines
