Estimator (Finance)
Total Group is a growing mechanical contractor company established 1996 in Nashville, TN. Our work covers the Middle TN area. We offer professional development with the ability to advance and grow within the company.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in construction
- 1 – 3 years construction industry experience preferred
- Proficient in MS-based software including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Quote Soft bidding software experience a plus
- Proficient in mathematics
The estimator role will consist of working with and being trained by a senior estimator in the following areas:
- Bidding process
- Setting up job bid folders
- Loading digital drawings into estimating software
- Contacting vendors for quotes
- Analyzing vendor quotes
- Reading drawings
- Quantity takeoffs of piping, duct, equipment and plumbing fixtures
- Pipe and duct takeoff entries into estimating software
- Research of specifications and job documents
- Writing clear and concise proposals
- Communicating effectively with vendors and clients
- Attending site visits
$50,000-$60,000 DOE
