Our Client is seeking an experienced Estimator who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and can effectively interact with team members at all levels. The ideal candidate is flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This role is responsible for leading the preparation, coordination, and final delivery of comprehensive estimates for large and complex construction projects.
Responsibilities- Lead estimating efforts for large‑scale and complex construction projects
- Prepare conceptual, detailed, and self‑perform work estimates and cost models
- Organize, research, and strategically plan estimate preparation, pricing, scheduling, and submission
- Identify and select subcontractors for the bidding process and final estimate pricing
- Assign estimating tasks and ensure accurate and complete information is incorporated
- Perform quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and review subcontractor proposals
- Research applicable tax laws, collective bargaining agreements, and permit requirements
- Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Maintain consistent communication with internal teams, owners, architects, and engineers
- Ensure project scope, changes, and updates are clearly communicated to team members and subcontractors
- Analyze historical project data to support current estimates
- Assist in selecting building systems and estimating software
- Lead, train, mentor, and manage estimators, including conducting performance evaluations
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of construction industry experience
- At least 1 year of construction estimating experience
- LEED AP, DBIA, or similar professional credentials preferred
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Basic understanding of construction law and standard business practices
- Proven professional attitude with strong customer service skills
- Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency with estimating and construction software, including ISqFt, ICE/Bid2
Win, On‑Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam/PDF, and Google Earth - Valid driver’s license
